Fulford tapestry and more!

Monday 17 June saw the Festival hosting events across the city - including The Fulford Tapestry in St Helen's Church in the city centre.

We also had an event in the Ron Cooke Hub that explored some of the limitations and possibilities of speech technology. It was accompanied by a number of interactive exhibits on which people were able to experience the technology in practice.

Tonight we have the wonderful Brian Sewell with us - do note that this event is fully booked, but it's always worth trying on the door if you've been unable to get a ticket, as there are sometimes some last minute seats.

Later this week we have two fantastic lectures on the Poles, including an exhibition of photos from Dr James Chong's trip to the Antarctic. Here's a sneaky peek at part of the exhibition of photos in the University's 3Sixty space.
